2hr Kizomba Course

The goal of this course is to give high quality kizomba/Semba instruction for dancers of all levels, while also coming together as a community.

Our commitment, is to provide top quality instruction that focuses on a strong understanding of fundamentals, concepts of movements, body mechanics (and how to work with you move naturally), musicality, fostering personal creativity, and developing your dance personality.

We also believe in well rounded instruction to include cultural references, history, learning about music, as well other dance & cultural influences, that will ultimately deepen your understanding and mastery of the dance!

ABOUT THE COURSE:

LEVEL 2: IMPROVER ESSENTIALS
This class is for those that have been dancing a while and are familiar and comfortable with kizomba basics and some intermediate movements. This class will be crafted around students enrolled.

Must Be Comfortable With:
Virgula, retrocesso, openings, saidas (exits)
**NOTE: You do not need to be “perfect” at these movements but at least familiar, as class will not focus on teaching these movement but rather how to sharpen and enhance them.

How to build more complex movement combinations
Tricks & fun ways to add styling
Refinement of movement and different ways to lead or follow.
Connecting your dance to the music
